WA is open to nominations for people currently living outside the state. This is a massive chance for those who have seen their occupations removed from other lists recently.
The state added several occupations eligible to apply for both 491 and 190 from people living in other locations for the 2021-2022 year. This is no news for healthcare professionals, who had already seen their occupations joining the list in the wake of the pandemic. But here are some of the new occupations listed:

- Architectural Draftsperson
- Analyst Programmer
- Baker
- Bricklayer
- Café or Restaurant Manager
- Chef & Cook
- Civil Engineer
- Civil Engineering Draftsperson
- Developer Programmer
- Hotel or Motel Manager
- Management Consultant
- Motor Mechanic
- Vet Nurse
- Web Developer
Bear in mind that to receive an invitation, you must hold a contract for full-time employment for at least 12 months in the nominated or closely related occupation in Western Australia.
